This policy describes how the modoboa.com website collects and processes personal data, in particular in the context of the purchase and support of the Modoboa Pro software. It complements the Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Data collected

Depending on your use of the website, we collect:

  • Contact data: name, email address (contact form, support requests).
  • Order and billing data: name, email address, intra-EU VAT number, plan subscribed to, amount, and where applicable the information needed to issue the invoice.
  • Proof of consent: acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of Sale (date, time and version of the T&Cs accepted).
  • Payment data: payments are processed by our provider Stripe. Your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
  • Browsing data: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, date and duration of visit (see the Cookies section).

Processors and recipients

Your data is only shared with the providers necessary to deliver the service:

  • Stripe (payment provider) — processing of card payments.
  • Hosting — Scaleway SAS, data hosted within the European Union.
  • Audience measurement — Google Analytics (only after you accept cookies).

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Transfers outside the European Union

Users' data is hosted within the European Union. The use of certain providers (in particular for payment or audience measurement) may involve a transfer framed by appropriate safeguards (European Commission standard contractual clauses).

Retention

  • Order data and invoices: kept for 10 years under accounting and tax obligations.
  • Contact / support data: kept for as long as necessary to handle the request, then archived.
  • Data collected via cookies: 13 months maximum, in line with the recommendations of the French data protection authority (CNIL).

The website uses audience-measurement cookies (Google Analytics) to build anonymous visit statistics. These cookies are only set after you give your consent via the banner displayed on your first visit. You may withdraw your consent at any time and configure your browser to refuse cookies; some features of the website may then be affected.
